Welcome to the Bay Area 8 Ballers Coed Pool League
The Bay Area 8 Ballers Coed League has proudly been operating for 15 years. Our teams are located in Alameda, San Leandro, Hayward, Castro Valley, Oakland, Emeryville, and Berkeley, comprising a total of 12 teams.
If you have a passion for playing pool, join us on Thursday nights when we gather to play. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, you are warmly invited, and there’s award money available at the end of the season. Everyone will get a share of the money back at the conclusion of the season.

This week's answers to the rules asked on Thursday night's game.

BCA Rules (Billiard Congress of America)
- Under BCA rules, scratching (cueball) on a legal break shot means all pocketed balls remain pocketed.
a. It is a foul, and the table remains open.
b. The INCOMING PLAYER gets ball-in-hand anywhere on the table.
2. Under BCA rules, If the 8 ball is pocketed on the break without scratching:
a. The PLAYER has the option to either spot the 8 ball and continue shooting or
b. Rerack and rebreak
3. Under BCA rules, If the 8 ball is made but the cue ball scratches:
a. The OPPOSING PLAYER can choose to spot the 8 ball and take ball in hand
b. Or rerack and rebreak
4. Under BCA rules, if an object ball jumps off the table, it is considered a foul:
a. The player loses their turn
b. and any object balls that jumped off are not re-spotted.
c. The INCOMING PLAYER has the option to
- either accept the table in its current position
- or take the cue ball in hand behind the head string and shoot
5. BCA Frozen Ball Rule: The SHOOTER AND/OR OPPONENT, must declare that the ball is frozen BEFORE the shooter takes his shot.
6. What happens if a shooter accidently causes a ball to fall in the pocket by clothing, hand, body, stick etc., while shooting at another object ball.
a. Ball remains in the pocket. -and-
b. Ball-in-Hand foul. OPPONENT'S turn to shoot.
